Can I Send An SMS To Patient?
Sending SMS (Text) Messages to Patients
This is possible from within medical records. Click the SMS Icon on the medical records, enter your message in the popup and click send. That's all.

The message itself is captured in the medical record for reference. If the patient replies to the message, that is also captured in the medical record. The EMR stream updates live if you are working in the record, so you know when a reply is received. Any replies received while logged out will wait for you on your home page, just like other items such as results and reminders. Click the patient's name to go to the medical records and read the message.

A couple of things to remember on this front:
The text message will come from a number that the patient may not recognise (+447507 227010) - so be sure to identify yourself in the message.
For the replies to be processed as mentioned above, patient needs to reply to the original message. A new message to the number will not associate with a patient currently, but this might change in the future.
