Electronic Prescribing



To access prescribing workflows, please enter some drugs in the patient's medical record first.

You need to add some drugs in patient's medical records to gain access to prescribing button. This might seem a convoluted step, but this is necessary for creating a paper prescription. Further, this creates a patient context and chances of errors are reduced.


Make an entry in EMR Drug List


ClinicYou has both paper-based and electronic prescribing facility. Paper prescribing is available to everyone out of the box. Since the electronic prescription creates an order on our pharmacy partner's system (CloudRx) automatically, we will need to validate the prescriber first. Therefore, when you first click the electronic prescription tab, the system will check your validation status. If you are new to it, you can start the validation process with a single click. We will contact you for required supporting documents as necessary.


Request Electronic Prescribing

While awaiting approval, you can search, add drugs to cart and request stock if drug not found - but will not be able to complete the order.

Once ePrescribing is enabled on your login, you can place order in a few simple steps:

Search for a drug (remember, some drugs may not be listed with generic name) - see (a)
Clinic on the drugname to add it to cart - you can add multiple drugs to cart
Enter information such as dose instructions, number of packs or quantity (e.g number of tablets) - see (b)
Specify payment options as in (c) - subscribed accounts only
Choose shipment and place order (d).


Cart contents persist between logins - so you can always come back to complete the order.


ePrescribing Process

The patient will be contacted for payment unless you have selected Payment On Account (c). If you have selected Account payment, CloudRx will invoice your clinic monthly for the drugs prescribed. You will need to make your own arrangements to recover costs from patient.

CloudRx dispatches 99% of orders placed before 4 p.m same day.
If you click 'Order' and nothing seems to happen (no green confirmation banner), please check that your professional registration number and clinic address fields are filled in appropriately - if not CloudRx system will reject your orders. Please go to your account from your profile icon and check under relevant tabs.
