How Do I Add A Scanned Signature
ClinicYou allows you to add scanned signatures to letters and paper prescriptions. This is done at clinician level. To do this, follow these steps:
When in a patient's medical records, click the new letter icon on the control strip at the top
On the letter panel, click 'Include Signature Image' checkbox.
An image upload component loads - click that to upload an image.
Once done, the signature image is saved against the clinician account and can be included on letters and paper prescriptions if the pharmacy accepts mailed PDFs (usually be prior arrangement).
We agree this is somewhat convoluted. But then, image of a signature on a PDF is somewhat 1990s anyway. We suggest expressly stating the provenance of the letter with signature text such as Dr Paul Smith, Electronically etc.
