Making Appointments (Using Calendar / Scheduler)
There are three ways to make an appointment.
On the Scheduler (Calendar) page
From within the patient's medical records
From the patient demographics panel on Patients tab
If you are new to ClinicYou, it is best to start on the Scheduler page, where you can be systematic and set up your products and services, first and then start creating appointments. Once you have products and services created, these will autosuggest as you type in the appointment type field.
If you want to get started quickly, you can create appointment types on the fly by adding a new patient (without first creating appointment types etc.).
You can also make an appointment from the patient demographics page. Again, system can autosuggest previously used appointment types or add brand new ones. Previously entered appointment types are editable on the EMR page using 'Products and Services' button - which lists them and selecting a line shows fields to edit.
ClinicYou creates an invoice item automatically for each appointment, so that you never forget to invoice for an appointment. You then gather them up for create invoices in the Invoice tab. If you wish, you can disable this behaviour by clicking the checkbox '_Do not auto-invoice appointments'_.

Automatically captured invoice items are displayed on the date of the appointment and will remain there until you delete or create invoice. If you wish to see invoice items related to future appointments, click the checkbox 'Show future invoice items'.
The calendar button on the app header will display the day's appointments if you have any and clicking items on this menu allows you to quickly navigate to the patient's EMR without having to search for the patient.
Our mobile app shows clinician specific list of patients on the day.
